David Brooke LLB.(Hons) Solicitor and Senior Partner: Educated in Wakefield and living in or around Wakefield all his life, David acquired the Practice from its founder Mr. G M Wilson in 1985 having spent his early career with the respected Leeds practice of C W Nelson & Co. Specialising in Property, Business matters and also Wills & Probate he has the seen the firm grow steadily over the years and in that time retain many fledgling clients who have also grown and developed into substantial businesses.
In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, watching Leeds United and most other sports.
David is an F.A. Authorised Player Agent.

Solicitor and Partner James deals with Corporate/Commercial, Commercial Property and Residential Conveyancing. His main area of specialism is business transaction work including acquisitions, disposals and long leases. He also has extensive experience of negotiating and preparing a wide range of commercial contracts.
James enjoys football and cricket in his spare time and is an F.A. Authorised Player Agent.

Solicitor and Partner. Liz deals with all types of property and commercial work, but her particular expertise is dealing with builders and developers. Liz came to G M Wilson from one of the largest solicitors in Leeds.
In her spare time Liz enjoys snowboarding.

Practice Manager. David joined the firm in 2005 and his role is to ensure that we have a well-run practice that meets the needs of clients and staff members alike. His main responsibilities are human resources, business planning, communication and marketing.
He was a successful manager for over 25 years with a major retail bank including 10 years in senior management roles in mortgages and financial services.
An ex-professional footballer, David is now a keen Sheffield Wednesday fan and a single-figure golfer.

Sandra is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and has over 20 years experience in residential conveyancing. She is very well known and highly regarded in the local area. Sandra returned to local practice as she believes in the high level of customer service that is not always possible to provide in a larger firm.
In her spare time Sandra enjoys walking her dogs and reading (not at the same time).

Philippa Hulse

Philippa studied at Newcastle University and then at the College of Law in York. She was awarded First Class Honours in the Law Society's 1993 Solicitors' Final Examinations and qualified as a Solicitor in 1995. Having previously worked in Barnsley, Philippa returned to practice and joined G M Wilson in March 2008. She specialises in all aspects of Wills, Probate and the administration of estates, Trusts, lifetime gifts and settlements, Inheritance Tax advice and estate planning, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection work and advice in relation to long term care. Philippa works from both our Wakefield and Barnsley offices.
Philippa enjoys the great outdoors, gardening, walking, the theatre, eating out, holidays and spending time with her young family .
Andrew Gallon

Andrew joined the firm from Sheffield University Law School in July 2008 after completing the Legal Practice Course. He became a Trainee Solicitor with the firm in January 2009. Andrew is currently working in our Wills & Probate Department and assists in making wills, applying for grants of probate, completing IHT accounts and generally in the administration of estates.
Outside of work Andrew is a keen sportsman, a follower of Newcastle United and a fan of Alan Partridge. He enjoys playing hockey, football and surfing.

Patrick studied Law at Bournemouth University before completing the Legal Practice Course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and is the most recent addition to the team at G. M. Wilson. Patrick's areas of speciality are Contractual Litigation (including the supply of goods and services), Property Litigation, Landlord & Tenant disputes, Personal Injury and Insolvency Law.
Patrick enjoys playing football and tennis.
